Introduction

PsychCare Services is a private Child and Youth Mental Health practice that provides a high quality diagnostic assessments and offer treatment recommendations for young people with Developmental and Mental Health Disorders.

Our aim is to support the community access affordable and timely appointments.

Medicare Eligible Routine Services are no longer Bulk Billed for young people living in MMI areas.

Billing- effective 1st January  2026

Payment via credit card is required to be made in full on the day of your appointment. This will include an approx 1.7% credit card surcharge.

Item 291 Assessment and Management Plan for GP costs $850.00 (Medicare Rebate $455.60, ).

Item 293 Follow up (45 minutes) costs $500.000 (Medicare Rebate $284.80)

Follow up appointments (if not eligible for Item 293) of 30 to 45 minutes costs $400.00 (Medicare rebate $134.00).

What is a Gap Fee?

A gap fee is the difference between the fee we charge for our appointments and the Medicare Rebate. The gap fee varies based on the type of appointment. The gap fee will be communicated at the time of booking.

How do I pay my account?

Full payments are required via your nominated credit card on the day of your  appointment. We are only able to accept credit card payments and credit card details are required to book an appointment. Payment will  be automatically processed after your appointment.  We will process your Medicare Rebate and send your payment receipt after your appointment.

No Show Fees

We have a long waiting list and we request that if you no longer need an appointment, you cancel your booking so other clients can be offered the appointment slot. A fee of $200 will be charged if you do not attend a confirmed appointment.
